You made it crystal clear both about how to do it, and why it works.

Make sure to check out my article about using GDB for debugging your programs. Once you write a loop use GDB to “jump” into the loop and check the updated values. Once you run the program in GDB it’s like slow motion so you can see what is actually going on with the values each time it goes through the loop. Don’t forget to always handwrite the steps you expect the program to make and match it up with the GDB results. Best of luck!

Thanks for your comment Martin, I totally agree with you in regards to week 2. I’ve had many moments where I wasn’t sure I could keep going because of how frustrating the problem sets were. Taking small breaks and taking a walk really helped. Best of luck!
